About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Team Lead to join our finance department at our office in Navotas City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing accounting team whilst ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. As Accounting Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, mentoring team members, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organisation's objectives. This role is integral to maintaining robust financial controls and supporting informed business decision-making across Tech101 Technologies Inc.

What you'll be doing

• Leading, supervising and mentoring accounting team members, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development
• Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment authorisation and debt collection activities
• Maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledgers to ensure complete and accurate financial records
• Preparing and analysing financial reports and variance analyses to identify trends and support management decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external auditors during audit cycles and financial reviews
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing efficiency enhancements within the accounting function
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
• Supporting the Finance Manager with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning initiatives

What we're looking for

• Professional qualification in accounting (such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience in accounting roles
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in accounting functions, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop team members effectively
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and regulatory requirements is highly desirable
