Responsibilities

• Supervise and review the daily work of accounting personnel.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and other transactions.
• Check journal entries and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform and review account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Monitor month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
• Monitor compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist in tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding accounting concerns.
• Train and guide accounting staff.
• Report accounting issues and concerns to the Accounting Manager.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes.
