Job summary

Equity Labs is seeking an Accounting Supervisor in Metro Manila, Makati. You will review accounting records and tax returns, and act as the main client contact.

You will mentor junior associates, lead admin functions, and drive process improvements to ensure high-quality deliverables for client companies. The role requires CPA certification, at least two years in similar roles, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of two years' experience in similar accounting roles.
• Must be able to communicate in English (oral and written).
• Ability to establish rapport with local and foreign clients.

Responsibilities

• Review accounting records and tax returns for assigned clients.
• Serve as point of contact for clients and address key issues promptly.
• Mentor and review junior associates within the team.
• Lead administrative functions including recruitment, business development, and inter-unit support.
• Continuously improve workflow and quality of work.

Job description

As an accounting supervisor, you are expected to review accounting records, tax returns and act as point of contact for our clients. For you to be successful in this role, you are expected to demonstrate the following:

• Resolve and address key issues on assigned clients in minimal amount of time
• Mentoring and reviewing junior associates within the team
• Strong knowledge in compliance laws and regulations such as, but not limited to, tax compliance with the BIR, corporate compliance with the SEC and other commercial laws and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidence in dealing with a range of stakeholder groups and management teams
• Lead administrative functions within the firm such as recruitment, thought leadership, business development and supporting other business units within the firm
• Continuously improve the workflow and quality of our work

Compensation package

Accounting supervisors are offered highly competitive compensation package which includes the following baseline benefits:

• Salary ranging from Php37,500 to Php50,000 per month
• HMO cover upon regularization
• Discretionary bonus scheme
• Bi-annual salary appraisals

Other benefits will be offered depending on the interview process.

Preferred Experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Certified Public Accountant
• At least two years of working experience in similar roles
• Ability to communicate in oral and written English
• Ability to establish rapport with our local and foreign clients

Qualifications (Desired)

• Experience in supervising a team of two to three associates
• At least two years of working experience in Big 4 accounting firms
• Knowledgeable in payroll calculations and working with different government agencies
