We are seeking a Accounting Supervisor to guide a team of accountants delivering end-to-end client accounting and compliance services. In this role, you will oversee client portfolio delivery, review financial reports, manage BIR tax statutory compliance, and serve as the primary escalation point for client concerns. This position is ideal for an experienced Senior Accountant or Client Accounting Team Leader looking to drive quality control, coach talent, and build strong client relationships in an outsourced accounting setting.
Lead, coach, and support assigned Program Accountants in managing client accounts and deliverables.
Assign portfolios and tasks based on workload, complexity, capability, and agreed deadlines.
Conduct regular team huddles, workload reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
Monitor attendance, capacity, productivity, and completion of assigned work; elevate resource constraints promptly
Review bookkeeping, account reconciliations, schedules, financial reports, and other accounting outputs before client submission.
Ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, properly supported, and consistent with the agreed client scope
Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities and resolve material reconciling items.
Provide technical guidance on accounting treatment, documentation, and reporting concerns.
Monitor the team’s preparation and filing of applicable BIR and other statutory requirements within prescribed deadlines.
Review tax schedules, returns, supporting documents, and payment instructions for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain a compliance calendar and flag missing client documents or potential exposure to management.
Coordinate with internal specialists or external advisers on complex compliance matters when required.
Serve as the primary escalation point for client concerns involving accounting deliverables, timelines, and documentation
Conduct client meetings and explain accounting reports, outstanding requirements, risks, and recommended actions clearly.
Maintain professional, responsive communication and document decisions, commitments, and follow-ups
Manage scope-related concerns and refer out-of-scope requests for proper approval.
Standardize templates, trackers, workpapers, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
Prepare periodic reports on portfolio status, overdue deliverables, pending client inputs, risks, and team capacity.
Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for new Program Accountants and newly assigned client accounts.
Perform other related duties consistent with the role and business requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. A CPA license is an advantage
At least 3–5 years of experience, including at least 1–2 years in a team lead, senior accountant, reviewer, or client-facing role. Experience in an accounting firm, shared services, or outsourced accounting environment is preferred.
