ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring accounting transactions, and supervising the accounting team. The role will ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations while providing reliable financial information to management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and guide the accounting team in daily operations
Review and monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and general ledger transactions
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and accounting schedules
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documents
Monitor cash flow, expenses, and account balances
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities
Ensure proper recording and documentation of financial transactions
Monitor tax compliance and coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and government agencies
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Identify accounting discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions
Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, Philippine tax regulations, and applicable accounting standards
Provide accounting reports and financial insights to management
Perform other accounting-related duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation
Experience in general accounting, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
CPA license is not required but an advantage
