Gladex Travel and Tours Corp. is seeking a capable Accounting Supervisor to lead the accounting team and ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and reliable reporting.
You will supervise 2–3 associates, review audits and supplier payments, and coach staff to improve accuracy and efficiency. The role covers daily audit and reconciliation, consolidation of data across travel services, and preparation of reports for management.
Lead the accounting team in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and reliable reporting while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Team Supervision
Supervise and support 2 to 3 Accounting Associates in their daily accounting and reconciliation tasks.
Review audit logs, reconciliations, financial reports, and other work outputs for accuracy and completeness.
Review and approve supplier payment requests in accordance with company policies.
Provide coaching, training, and regular performance feedback to improve team productivity and accuracy.
Financial Audit & Reconciliation
Oversee the daily audit and reconciliation of financial transactions across company systems and payment channels.
Reconcile sales, collections, and payment records, and investigate discrepancies promptly.
Monitor wallet transactions, payment gateway settlements, refunds, and other financial activities to ensure accurate recording.
Financial Reporting
Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly sales and financial reports.
Consolidate financial data across multiple business lines, including flights, hotels, tours, and other travel services.
Analyze financial trends, identify variances, and provide recommendations to management.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and government regulations, including BIR, SEC, and other applicable agencies.
Maintain complete and organized financial records to support internal and external audits.
Process Improvement
Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Technology teams to improve reporting accuracy and reconciliation efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reconciliation, audit procedures, and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential financial information.
