Responsibilities
- Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Financial Reports Compile and analyze Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise Accounting Staff Provide overall guidance, direction, and oversight to the Accounting Assistant.
- Financial Statement Analysis Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and alignment with company policies.
- Implement Financial and Inventory Controls Establish, monitor, and enforce robust controls to safeguard company assets and inventory.
- Journal and Ledger Management Record and maintain accurate journal entries and general ledger transactions.
- Credit and Collection Management Oversee the credit and collection processes to ensure timely receivables.
- Account Reconciliation Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
- Tax and Audit Support Assist in tax preparation, audit processes, and timely resolution of discrepancies; ensure timely tax payments.
- Cash Flow Monitoring Identify and report potential cash flow issues and financial irregularities.
- Liaison Role Serve as a key contact between the accounting department and internal teams, clients, suppliers, and financial institutions.
- Compliance and Regulatory Monitoring Stay up to date with company policies and relevant local, municipal, and federal financial regulations.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight Ensure timely payment of company bills and effective debt collection.
- Financial Reporting to Management Provide regular financial updates and insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Budget Preparation and Forecasting Prepare and monitor financial budgets on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Daily Reporting to the President
- Submit financial or operational reports to the company President.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of tax laws and compliance requirements
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
