Job description
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions.
Coordinate and prioritize daily accounting activities.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
Prepare and review journal entries.
Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
Month-End and Year-End Closing: Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion.
Prepare and review closing entries.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulations.
