Job summary

Dash Cargo Logistics in Carmona, Cavite, Philippines, is seeking an experienced Finance professional to assume a pivotal General Accounting role. You will manage journal entries, AP/AR, GL updates, and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while mentoring junior staff.

Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and HR to resolve discrepancies, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in General Accounting including Accounts Payables, Receivables and Financial Statements.
• At least 2–4 years progressive accounting experience; supervisory or team lead exposure is a plus.
• Prior experience in construction industry is preferred but not required.
• Ability to guide a team while fostering collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving skills in handling financial data.
• Commitment to accuracy, honesty, and confidentiality in handling financial information.

Responsibilities

• Post journal entries, AP/AR, and GL updates accurately and timely.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support the Accounting Supervisor in monitoring workload and team performance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accountants and clerks.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and other reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend improvements in systems and controls to minimize risks.
• Prepare and support documentation needed for internal and external audits.
• Work closely with operations, purchasing, HR to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
• Coordinate with the Accounting Supervisor to ensure deadlines are met smoothly.
