Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Monitor and maintain the company’s internal controls, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure timely filing of tax returns, statutory contributions, and other government compliance requirements.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to improve performance and efficiency.
Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations.
Handle other related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred but not required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
