Job summary

Scrubbed is seeking an Accounting Staff - Senior Level with extensive US payroll experience to manage end-to-end US payroll operations alongside commission bookkeeping. This role handles calculating wages, deductions, and compliance with high accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, inventory analysis, month-end journals, payroll processing, GL reconciliations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
• 3–4 years of experience in payroll/accounting, preferably in BPO.
• 2–3 years direct US payroll processing experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Proficient in payroll software and Excel.

• Generate GL payroll reports for accounting and assist payroll audits.
• Commission bookkeeping: calculate and post journal entries for sales commissions.

We are looking for an Accounting Staff - Senior Level with extensive US Payroll experience to manage end-to-end US payroll operations alongside commission bookkeeping. This role directly handles calculating wages, managing deductions, ensuring federal/state tax compliance with high accuracy and confidentiality and maintains precise financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Financial Reporting

• • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing.

  • Inventory analysis, month-end journals, and closing adjustments.

  • Monthly financial reporting and payroll accounting.

  • Bank and General Ledger (GL) reconciliations.Identify significant risks and document findings in technical memos.Payroll Processing: Execute full-cycle payroll for employees, including overtime, bonuses, retro pay, and final terminations.

• Deductions & Benefits: Set up and manage 401(k), health benefits, FSA/HSA, wage garnishments, and child support orders.
• Tax & Compliance: Ensure adherence to FLSA and multi-state/local payroll tax rules; reconcile quarterly taxes (Form 941) and lead year-end W-2 processing.
• Reporting & Support: Generate GL payroll reports for accounting, resolve employee pay queries, and assist with internal/external payroll audits.
• Commission Bookkeeping & Calculations: Calculate, audit, and track sales commissions and bonuses against compensation plans; record monthly accruals and post journal entries to the General Ledger.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent.
• With at least 3-4 years of experience in the same field, preferably with BPO companies.
• With 2–3 years of direct, hands-on US payroll processing experience.
• A CPA License is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in major payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Rippling) and advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Knowledge: Strong grasp of federal, state, and local wage/hour laws, tax withholdings, and pre-/post-tax deductions.
• Accounting Acumen: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles, payroll accruals, and GL journal entry preparation.
• Can work under pressure and can easily refocus to attend to urgent tasks.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written in English).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Amenable to working in a graveyard shift schedule (1:00 AM to 9:00 AM PH time).
