Job summary

Institute of Data seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to lead our Philippines office. You will oversee daily accounting operations, supervise a bookkeeper team, and ensure accurate invoicing, reconciliations and cash flow management.

You will partner with global leadership to drive efficiency, maintain strong controls and automate processes, while handling local office administration and HR duties as part of a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing accounting functions and office administration.
• Experience supervising bookkeeping staff and daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with Xero; familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite or MYOB is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and cloud tools (Google Workspace, HubSpot).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervising daily workflow of the bookkeeping and accounts team.
• Reviewing and approving journal entries, bank reconciliations, AP/AR batches, and Stripe transactions.
• Overseeing month-end closing schedules and coordinating with global accounting for reporting.
• Enforcing internal controls and documenting processes; driving automation.
• Providing leadership for AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Leading team coaching, 1-on-1s, and daily stand-ups with bookkeepers.
• Managing day-to-day office operations, facilities, equipment, vendors, and HR duties.
• Serving as local contact for international stakeholders in Australia, NZ, Singapore and the US.
