Job summary

Aux is seeking an Accounting & Operations Specialist to own day-to-day accounting and financial operations for our client’s growing business in the Philippines. This hands-on role requires US accounting knowledge, strong organization, and proactive ownership of processes from start to finish.

You will manage AP, employee expenses, transaction coding, reconciliations, and first-pass financial reporting, ensuring timely month-end close and accurate financials across entities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, with US-based businesses.
• Strong understanding of US accounting and bookkeeping practices.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or equivalent.
• Experience with AP, expense management, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong GL coding and chart-of-accounts knowledge.
• Experience preparing or reviewing P&L and balance sheets.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Comfort communicating with employees, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor bills and route for approval.
• Code bills to correct entity, class, and GL account.
• Track payment timing and follow up on approvals or payments.
• Manage employee expense reporting end-to-end.
• Review expenses for policy compliance and completeness.
• Classify and code AP, employee expenses, and other transactions.
• Close month-end and prepare P&L and balance sheet reports.
• Maintain supporting documentation for reconciliations and close activities.
• Keep books organized across multiple entities.
• Be the day-to-day contact for financial activity queries.
