Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Conglomerate Savings & Financing Corporation is seeking an Accounting Officer to own the books for the lending group, handling journal entries, GL maintenance, and month-end closes while managing day-to-day payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
You will prepare financial statements, support regulatory filings with BIR/SEC/SSS and audit teams, and work with the VP Accounting & Compliance to ensure accurate reporting and strong governance.
We're hiring a hands-on Accounting Officer for our Financing company. Because we run a lean team, this role is both officer-level and hands-on: you'll own the accounting and financial reporting for the business, and you'll also roll up your sleeves on the day-to-day work — payables, receivables, encoding, disbursements, journal entries, and reconciliations. You'll report to the VP Accounting & Compliance and work closely with operations on loan-portfolio accounting. We need someone who can both prepare and review — comfortable owning the books and just as comfortable doing the assistant-level tasks when the team needs it.
Preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and performing bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
Preparing financial statements, management reports, financial analyses, and month-end closing requirements, and supporting the Accounting & Compliance Head in financial reporting and decision-making.
Handle the day-to-day lending accounting function, including loan collections, loan disbursements, loan portfolio accounting — interest, amortization, accounts receivable and payable, loan account reconciliations, Statements of Account (SOA), and other lending-related accounting transactions.
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
Preparing, filing, and ensuring the timely submission of reports, returns, remittances, and other documentary requirements to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), and other applicable regulatory agencies.
Maintaining complete, accurate, and organized accounting records, books of accounts, supporting schedules, and other financial documents, and supporting internal and external audit requirements.
Reviewing and endorsing payment vouchers, checks, remittances, reconciliations, and other accounting documents for approval in accordance with established internal controls and approval authorities.
Reviewing and validating accounting transactions, supporting documents, and accounting records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Company policies and accounting standards.
Preparing and submitting required reports and analyses in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinating and collaborating with teammates, other departments, and the Accounting & Compliance Head to support departmental objectives and operational efficiency.
Complying with established SOPs, internal controls, accounting standards, data privacy requirements, regulatory requirements, and other Company policies.
Accounts payable — prepare vouchers, checks, and disbursements; monitor and settle payables on time
Accounts receivable — record collections, monitor balances, and follow through on outstanding items
Encode transactions and keep complete, organized accounting records
Prepare receipts, bank dep. slips, and collection reports
Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger
Graduate of Accountancy or a related course
CPA or units toward CPA, an advantage
At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in lending or financial services.
Hands‑on experience across the full accounting cycle — including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, and reconciliation (this role does both officer‑level and assistant‑level work)
Experience with loan‑portfolio accounting, financial‑statement preparation, and external audit.
Highly proficient in Excel and accounting system (e.g. Peachtree, Quickbooks)
Working knowledge of statutory, BIR filling and remittances; SEC compliance for financing companies
Familiar with the Loan Management System
Organized, dependable, accurate, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willing to work on‑site in Mandaluyong
