Job summary

Trulaboratories Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team in the Philippines. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, prepare financial statements, and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least five years of general accounting experience, including two in a senior role, with proficiency in Sage Peachtree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years or more in general accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency with Sage Peachtree.
• Intermediate level Sage Peachtree proficiency required with demonstrated reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Coordinate and assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with company policies
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and resolve any accounting issues or discrepancies
• Corporate VAT preparation, filing and claims.
• Support external audit and tax compliance processes, preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries as needed
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Performs ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as needed.
