ACCOUNTING MANAGER (CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING)

Location: Taguig, Philippines

Work Setup: Onsite

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Tax Compliance, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including the review of accounting transactions, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and preparation of financial and management reports.

• Oversee end-to-end AP and AR functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, billing, collections, account reconciliations, and monitoring of outstanding payables and receivables.

• Ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and applicable accounting standards, including the accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns and coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities.

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective performance, proper delegation of responsibilities, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• At least 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

• Proven experience in people management and team leadership, including supervising and developing accounting personnel.

• Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Philippine Tax Compliance.

• Strong knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards, BIR regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working in an accounting or audit firm.

• Background in the manufacturing industry.

• Experience managing multiple accounting functions or overseeing end-to-end accounting operations.

• Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, and government regulatory agencies.

• Exposure to accounting process improvements, internal controls, and financial reporting enhancements.

REQUIRED SKILLS & TECHNOLOGIES

• General Accounting & Financial Reporting: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Proficiency in invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, payment processing, billing, collections, and receivables monitoring.

• Philippine Tax Compliance: Strong understanding of BIR regulations, tax computations, statutory reporting, and tax filing requirements.

• Accounting Systems & Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems, spreadsheets, financial reconciliations, and reporting.

• Team Leadership & Management: Ability to supervise, coach, and develop accounting teams while ensuring operational efficiency and accountability.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify financial discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and recommend process improvements.

• Stakeholder Management & Communication: Strong coordination skills when working with internal departments, external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
