What we are looking for
Strata Results Recruitment is partnering with a diversified Philippine conglomerate in search of an experienced Accounting Manager to join its Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the organization's accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and the implementation of strong financial controls. The role will oversee financial reporting, taxation, audit coordination, treasury support, and the development of the accounting team while helping drive operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly financial closing process, ensuring timely andaccurate completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Review and approve financial statements, including the IncomeStatement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards(PFRS) and internal accounting policies.
- Analyze monthly financial performance and prepare variance reportsfor management.
Accounts Payable & Fund Management
- Oversee supplier payments, ensuring compliance with companypolicies and BIR withholding tax requirements.
- Review and approve Requests for Payment, payment vouchers, andother significant financial transactions.
- Supervise the management of petty cash and revolving funds whileensuring appropriate financial controls.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure full compliance with BIR regulations, tax filings, statutoryreporting requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee compliance with PhilHealth billing requirements whereapplicable.
- Coordinate annual external audits and ensure timely resolution ofaudit findings.
- Monitor changes in accounting, taxation, and regulatoryrequirements and recommend process improvements.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Oversee inventory controls, stock reconciliations, and periodicphysical inventory counts.
- Review inventory adjustments and disposal recommendations.
- Ensure proper recording, tagging, and verification of fixed assets.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting Department team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting procedures, and departmental policies.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for the accounting team.
- Prepare and manage the department's annual budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accountingexperience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience within the healthcare orhospital industry is essential.
