Job summary

Phil Rural Electric Cooperatives Association Inc. is a respected cooperative organization seeking an Accounting Associate to join our finance team in Quezon City.

This full-time role supports financial accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate records that drive decision-making. You will process remittances, prepare disbursements, monitor receivables/payables, assist with budgeting, and maintain organized records while upholding integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a cooperative or non-profit organization.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly government remittances, including SSS, HDMF, and PhilHealth contributions.
• Prepare check disbursements for payroll, purchases, and other authorized transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile payments and collections for membership dues and convention fees.
• Prepare monthly billings and maintain updated schedules of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare monthly cash flow reports and PowerPoint presentations of the monthly Financial Statements.
• Manage Petty Cash and Revolving Fund, including monitoring, reconciliation, and timely replenishment.
• Prepare and process monthly reimbursements and liquidation reports.
• Assist in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the annual budget.
• Prepare the Summary List of Sales and Purchases (SLSP) and other required BIR compliance reports.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized accounting records and supporting documents.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as may be assigned.

About the role
