About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant (Retail) to support our Finance team with daily accounting operations. This role focuses on reconciling retail sales and POS transactions, processing financial records, and assisting with month-end activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily sales data from POS systems with accounting and financial records.

• Process and record daily transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Match sales receipts and monitor cash and credit card settlements.

• Process customer refunds and ensure transactions are properly recorded.

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare financial reports and provide support during month-end closing.

• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documents.

• Assist the Finance team with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

About you

• College graduate or equivalent qualification; Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with POS systems and accounting software; experience with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.

• Prior experience in retail accounting is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with the Finance team.
