You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with GAAP, with duties spanning accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cost allocation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Record and process financial transactions (AP/AR/GL).

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting professional to join our finance team at Vista Marina Hotel. This is a full-time position based in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. As an Accounting professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your work will directly support the financial health and decision-making processes of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements
• Maintaining detailed and accurate accounting records in compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
• Processing payroll and employee benefits documentation
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for management review
• Monitoring and reconciling account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Supporting the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Managing accounts and ensuring timely collection of receivables
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial data integrity
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records and transactions

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with large volumes of financial data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in both written and verbal communication in English and Filipino
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of hospitality industry accounting practices and cost control measures is advantageous
