Job summary

Hansei Renewable Energy Corporation seeks an experienced Revenue Accountant to record and monitor revenue from renewable energy and EPC projects. You will ensure accurate revenue recognition, review contracts, and maintain schedules and supporting documents for audit and management review.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, processing billings, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Construction.

Responsibilities

• Record revenue transactions for company projects.
• Ensure revenue recognition in the correct accounting period.
• Review contracts, PO, and docs for revenue treatment.
• Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and papers.
• Monitor revenue against contracts, budgets, milestones.
• Identify variances and coordinate resolution.
• Validate billings, progress billings, and invoices.
• Coordinate with Project Controls, PM, Billing teams on milestones.
• Maintain records of billings, AR, collections, and receivables.
• Monitor overdue accounts and report status.
• Coordinate with Treasury on collection status.
• Monthly reconciliation of revenue and AR accounts.
• Prepare monthly revenue reports for management.
• Assist in financial statements related to revenue and receivables.
• Ensure proper documentation supports revenue balances.
• Assist month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor contract variations and adjustments affecting revenue.
• Coordinate on approved variations and accounting impact.
• Monitor revenue performance vs contract value and progress.
• Identify unbilled and deferred revenue when applicable.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for the accurate recording, monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting of revenue generated from HREC’s renewable energy and EPC projects. The position ensures that project billings, collections, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and related accounting transactions are properly documented and recorded in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Record and monitor revenue transactions from company projects.
2. 2. Ensure that revenue is recognized accurately and in the appropriate accounting period based on applicable accounting standards and approved contracts.
3. 3. Review project contracts, purchase orders, agreements, and supporting documents to determine appropriate revenue treatment.
4. 4. Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and supporting working papers.
5. 5. Monitor project revenue against approved contracts, budgets, and project milestones.
6. 6. Identify unusual or significant revenue variances and coordinate with concerned departments for proper resolution
7. 7. Review and validate project billings, progress billings, invoices, and related supporting documents before recording.
8. 8. Coordinate with Project Controls, Project Management, and Billing teams regarding project accomplishments, billing milestones, and approved progress claims.
9. 9. Maintain accurate records of billings, accounts receivable, collections, retention receivables, advances, and other project-related receivables.
10. 10. Monitor outstanding receivables and provide regular updates on overdue accounts
11. 11. Coordinate with Treasury and concerned project personnel regarding collection status and payment applications.
12. 12. Perform monthly reconciliation of revenue, accounts receivable, customer accounts, and related general ledger accounts.
13. 13. Prepare monthly revenue reports and schedules for management review.
14. 14. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports relating to revenue and receivables
15. 15. Ensure that revenue and receivable balances are properly supported by complete and accurate documentation.
16. 16. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
17. 17. Monitor contract variations, change orders, claims, deductions, retention, and other adjustments affecting project revenue.
18. 18. Coordinate with Contracts and Project Management teams regarding approved variations and their accounting impact.
19. 19. Monitor project revenue performance against contract value and project progress.
20. 20. Assist in identifying unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and other revenue-related adjustments when applicable
21. 21. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or with relevant accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Construction
