Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking an Account Officer for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to achieve loan volume targets while maintaining profitability and sound credit quality. The role emphasizes customer service and strong analytical skills.

You will actively solicit microfinance loan accounts, analyze applicants, coordinate with processing units, and ensure timely loan approvals and accurate documentation. A four- or five-year degree and integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• Four- or five-year degree holder.
• Strong selling, communication and customer service skills.
• Basic mathematical knowledge.
• High integrity.
• Familiar with MS Word and spreadsheets.
• Fieldwork and sales experience in microfinance is an advantage.
• Able to ride a motorcycle.

The Account Officer for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is responsible for achieving loan volume targets while maintaining profitability, sound credit quality, and good customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet the business needs of the customer
• Analyze overall loan applicant’s qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Initiate credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts
• Coordinate with concerned officers and/or other units related to processing and servicing of loan applications and loan clients
• Review and update customer loan files, loan agreements, etc. to ensure adequacy for credit processing and loan booking
• Ensure adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures
• Execute sales and/or marketing activities that will achieve volume targets
• Attend to inquiries and other requirements of the clients

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year or five-year degree course / Bachelors Degree Holder
• Possesses good selling, communication and customer service skills.
• Must have basic mathematical knowledge.
• With high integrity.
• Preferably familiar with computer software including word processing & spreadsheets.
• With fieldwork and sales experience on Microfinance, an advantage.
• Preferably can drive a motorcycle
