Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fuel transfer, settling, and purifying operations to supply clean fuel to running machinery.
• Lead fuel oil, heavy fuel oil (HFO), low-sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO), and lubricating oil bunkering operations onboard.
• Oversee major overhauls, troubleshooting, and repairs of the main propulsion engine, auxiliary generators, boilers, and auxiliary machinery.
• Direct and supervise junior engine officers (3rd Engineer, 4th Engineer, ETO) and engine ratings (Fitter, Motorman, Oiler).
• Plan, schedule, and supervise all daily mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks across the engine department under PMS.

Engine Room Management & Maintenance

Oversee daily fuel transfer, settling, and purifying operations to supply clean fuel to running machinery.

Perform tank soundings, calculate bunker figures, check fuel compatibility, maintain temperature controls, and collect official representative fuel samples (MARPOL samples).

Lead fuel oil, heavy fuel oil (HFO), low-sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO), and lubricating oil bunkering operations onboard.

Oversee major overhauls, troubleshooting, and repairs of the main propulsion engine, auxiliary generators, boilers, and auxiliary machinery.

Direct and supervise junior engine officers (3rd Engineer, 4th Engineer, ETO) and engine ratings (Fitter, Motorman, Oiler) in execution of work orders and overhauls.

Plan, schedule, and supervise all daily mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks across the engine department under the vessel's Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
