Job summary

Globe Telecom in Metro Manila seeks a DC Operations Engineer to ensure 24x7 running of the in-country data center. You will act as Level 2 escalation, oversee incidents, and coordinate with vendors to maintain high availability.

The role requires knowledge of ITIL processes, building systems, and accurate ticketing documentation. You will generate reports, support audits, and help implement preventive maintenance while aligning with Globe's service standards.

Qualifications

• ITIL-based IT operations knowledge and incident management.
• Willingness to work 24x7 shifts in a data center environment.
• Strong understanding of building systems and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and ensure smooth 24x7 running of the operations in the 'in-country' data center.
• Acts as Level 2 escalation point by overseeing and resolving all onsite operational incidents and major issues.
• Documents and updates accurately all requests on the internal web portal ticketing system such as user requests, incidents, provisioning, etc.
• Implements best-in-class DC operations based on ITIL and industry practices.
• Delivers ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management.
• Ensures effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policies and procedures.
• Coordinates and provides support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting ongoing and completed works.
• Plans and supports all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to the company's services.
• Participates and supports internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Generates accurate and regular reports as required.
• Any other duties or projects as assigned by the management.
