Job summary

Globe Telecom, Inc. is hiring for ST Telemedia Global Data Centre Philippines to manage 24x7 onsite operations and monitor critical facilities. The role requires a degree in engineering and 1–3 years in a 24x7 environment, with IT/IN and M&E knowledge and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a 24x7 operations environment (data centers, NOC, etc.).
• General knowledge of M&E and network critical infrastructure.
• Broad knowledge in DC facilities related systems (PDU, UPS, DC Rectifier, Generator, DRUPs, CRAUs, Chiller, DX cooling, fire protections, raised floor, etc.).
• Understand network structure cabling in IT/data centre environments.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with proactive learning attitude and Keen analytical skills.
• Willing to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage.
• No previous criminal records.

Responsibilities

• Work in rotating shifts to support the data centre’s 24x7 onsite operations and critical facilities.
• A strong desire and capability to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
• Perform 24x7 monitoring of BMS systems and critical facilities equipment and related data center systems.
• Act as first responders and Level 1 escalation point for onsite incidents.
• Respond to remote hands requests within SLAs.
• Document and update activities on the STT GDC Web Portal ticketing system.
• Deliver ITIL compliance for incident, problem and change management.
• Ensure effective implementation of data center safety, security and customer support policies.
• Oversee security operations onsite, including processes and manpower.
• Coordinate with internal/external contractors and vendors, review PTW docs and schedule resources.
• Inspect work done by contractors.
• Coordinate and support preventive and reactive maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Support ISO27001 security framework, ISMS, SSAE18 and OSPAR audits.
• Provide audit/certification support to customers and stakeholders.
• Create regular reports (incidents, health, daily).
• Write/update SOPs and EOPs for DSCO procedures.
• Provide admin support in assets inventory and procurement.
• Learn tester use for cabling and deploy network/telco as needed.
• Coordinate and supervise activities of contracted personnel; ensure minimal disruption.
• Generate power, environmental, ad-hoc and customer monthly reports.
