Job summary

Globe Telecom is looking for an individual to manage and service data center infrastructure in Makati. The role ensures 24/7 operations, overseeing site operational issues and ensuring a great customer experience. Responsibilities include supporting data center operations, documenting requests, and implementing ITIL compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in data center operations or relevant qualifications in engineering. Candidate must possess knowledge of critical infrastructure systems.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in data center or facility operations.
• Possess knowledge of CRACs, Chiller, PDUs, UPS, Switchgear Ops.
• Skills in contractor management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and ensure smooth 24x7 operations in the data center.
• Act as Level 1 escalation point for onsite operational incidents.
• Document and update all requests on the internal web portal ticketing system.

Skills

Job Description

Manages and services large-scale 'in-country' data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24x7 operations in rotating shifts. Proactive coordination and escalation related to site operational issues and client’s requirements ensuring great customer experience at all times while also taking guidance and complying with STT GDC GDCO policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support and ensure smooth 24x7 running of the operations in the 'in-country' data centre.
• Act as Level 1 escalation point by overseeing and resolving all onsite operational incidents and major issues, responding & performing remote requests within SLA.
• Understand the M&E, security, network and plumbing systems of the building, critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the DC environment.
• Document and update accurately all requests on the internal web portal ticketing system such as user requests, incidents, provisioning, etc.
• Implement best-in-class DC operations based on ITIL and industry practices.
• Deliver ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management.
• Ensure effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and provide support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting completed work.
• Plan and support all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to the company's services.
• Participate and support internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Generate accurate and regular reports when required.
• Any other duties or projects as assigned by the management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment, or fresh graduate with relevant qualifications such as building services, mechanical engineering.
• Possess general knowledge of Network Critical Infrastructure.
• Good knowledge in M&E and building facilities-related systems, such as CRACs, Chiller, PDUs, UPS, Switchgear Ops, DX cooling, Network structure cabling, Security, etc.
• Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Other Preferred Skills

• Possess relevant facilities management and/or data centre-related certifications, such as ITIL, PMP, Uptime Institute and TIA-942.
• Familiar with certifications standards, such as ISO 20000 / 22301 / 27001, 45001, 9001, Uptime Institute, TIA-942.
• Good contractor management and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Prepared to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage when necessary.
