The International Potato Center (CIP) in Lima, Peru, invites applications for an IT Helpdesk and Support Intern to assist the Information Technology Department in maintaining IT services for on-site and remote users.

The intern will help diagnose incidents, manage IT assets, monitor networks, and support security protocols, while gaining exposure to ITIL practices and Office 365 tools.

Formación

• Students in their final semesters or recent graduates in related fields.
• Ranked in the upper third of their faculty (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with teleconferencing tools (Teams, Zoom).
• Basic information security concepts.
• Ability to support on-site and remote end users.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for one(1) IT Helpdesk and Support Intern to provide support to the InformationTechnology Department in Lima, Peru.

About the position: This position will provide essential support in thediagnosis and resolution of technical incidents, ensuring the continuity of ITservices for both on-site and remote users. The intern will play a key role inmaintaining IT asset inventory, monitoring network services, and supportinginformation security protocols within the organization.

Training activities:

• Support in the diagnosis and resolution of incidentsrelated to computers, network connectivity,
• conference equipment, and peripherals.
• Information security support, including handling andescalating security events and incidents.
• Documentation of internal IT processes and proceduresin accordance with the ITIL framework.
• Monitoring network services and communicationsinfrastructure.
• Updating and maintaining the IT asset inventory.
• Support for end users on Office 365 applications, webconferencing tools, and business
• applications.
• Knowledge of ITIL Foundation principles.

Requirements

• Knowledge of theWindows operating system, Microsoft Office 365 applications, computer
• configuration, troubleshooting, and teleconferencingapplications (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
• Basic knowledge ofinformation security concepts (malware, phishing, antivirus, etc.).
• Knowledge of datanetworking fundamentals.
• Ability to providesupport to on-site and remote end users.
• Service-orientedmindset with strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
