L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller/Storekeeper in Oman to manage material receipt, inspection, and issue processes within a busy fabrication yard and EPC environment.

You will maintain stock accuracy, coordinate with QA/QC and project teams, and ensure proper storage, handling, and reporting using SAP ERP systems. Strong planning, leadership, and communication skills are essential for success.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices.
• Experience with SAP ERP-based inventory systems.
• Familiarity with fabrication yard materials and electrical components is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate receipt and inspection of materials and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain optimum stock levels and monitor inventory movement to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
• Ensure proper storage, preservation, tagging, and traceability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

Materials Receipt amp Inspection

Coordinate receipt of materials from vendors and project sites Verify quantity specifications packing list and delivery documents Coordinate with QA QC and user departments for material inspection and acceptance

Inventory Management

Maintain optimum stock levels of consumables and project materials Monitor inventory movement and prevent stock-outs or excess inventory Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation

Storage amp Preservation

Ensure proper storage preservation tagging and identification of materials Maintain stores layout for easy accessibility and traceability Ensure safe handling and preservation of critical materials and consumables

Material Issue amp Dispatch

Issue materials as per approved Material Requisition Notes MRN Maintain proper documentation for material movement and transfers Coordinate dispatch of materials to production areas and subcontractors

Documentation amp System Management

Update all inventory transactions in ERP SAP systems Maintain inward outward and stock registers Generate inventory reports stock statements and management MIS reports

Audit amp Compliance

Ensure compliance with company procedures HSE requirements and inventory control guidelines Support internal and external audits Investigate material discrepancies and implement corrective actions

Team Management

Supervise storekeepers assistants and warehouse personnel Allocate daily activities and monitor performance Promote housekeeping and safety within stores operations

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices
• Experience in SAP ERP-based inventory systems
• Knowledge of fabrication yard materials welding consumables structural steel piping and electrical materials
• Good coordination planning and reporting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting toolsStrong communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Experience

• GCC Oman experience in fabrication yard or EPC projects
• Experience in large-scale offshore modules oil amp gas refinery petrochemical or shipyard projects
• Familiarity with SAP MM module and material traceability requirements
