Job summary

GBM Oman is seeking a Site Infrastructure Consultant to lead end-to-end datacenter physical infrastructure presales activities for Oman projects. You will design solutions, prepare technical bids, coordinate with OEMs, and act as SME for power, cooling, racks, DCIM and liquid cooling.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, 5–8 years in presales/solution consulting, strong knowledge of mission-critical facilities, and preferred Schneider product line

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in Data Centre Physical Infrastructure.
• 5–8 years in Presales / Solution Consulting role.
• Strong knowledge of mission-critical facility infrastructure.
• Preferred deep knowledge with Schneider product line.
• Preferred certifications: Uptime Institute ATD / ATS / DCDC / CDCP / CDCS / CDCE; OEM certifications for DG, UPS, Cooling, DCIM, LAN design.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Datacenter Physical Infrastructure Presales Consultant is responsible for leading technical presales activities related to mission-critical datacenter infrastructure solutions. The role involves solution design, technical bid preparation, compliance management, customer engagement, and OEM coordination to support our clients in Oman. The consultant will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for power, cooling, racks, containment, Flooring, DCIM, and next-generation liquid cooling solutions, ensuring technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals aligned with GBM standards and customer requirements. Overseeing the installation, Project delivery Quality and support for successful project completion

Job Description

Lead end-to-end physical infrastructure solution design, implementation for datacenter projects.

Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.

Perform load calculations, capacity planning, redundancy analysis, and infrastructure sizing.

Responsible for Datacenter solution in line with the customer requirement

Responsible for MEP, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire system & Ancillary system (ELV, NOC and DC Passive cabling)

Design scalable and modular data center solutions for enterprise and hyperscale environments.

Review RFP/RFQ documents and prepare compliance statements.

Site Surveys

Develop technical proposals, BOQs, solution architecture diagrams, and narratives.

Ensure alignment with project specifications, international standards, and local regulations.

Support costing team with accurate technical inputs for competitive pricing.

Conduct technical workshops and solution presentations.

Engage with OEMs for solution validation, sizing, and technical approvals.

Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.

Promote next-generation infrastructure including liquid cooling and AI-ready solutions.

Qualification - Education

1-Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

2-8+ years of experience in Data Centre Physical Infrastructure.

3-Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Presales / Solution Consulting role.

4-Strong knowledge of mission-critical facility infrastructure.

5-Preferred deep knowledge with Schneider product line.

6-Preferred Certifications: Uptime Institute ATD / ATS / DCDC / CDCP / CDCS / CDCE, 7-OEM certifications for products like DG, UPS, Cooling, DCIM, LAN design.

• Support HSE focal point for all types of emergencies
