Job summary

Tawteen is seeking a Sr Quantity Surveyor for site-based oil & gas EPC projects in Oman. You will manage post-contract QS activities, prepare valuations, final accounts and cost estimates, and ensure commercial compliance across engineering, construction and maintenance contracts.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering with at least six years of post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Experience in oil & gas, EPC, construction, engineering or maintenance contracts.
Strong post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management experience.
Experience in valuations, measurements, variations, claims and final accounts.
Good knowledge of BOQ, MTO/BOM, rate analysis and cost estimation.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
Strong communication, coordination and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Manage post-contract quantity surveying activities for engineering construction and maintenance contracts.
Prepare and review monthly valuations measurements re-measurements and final accounts.
Review and evaluate variations claims rate analysis and price escalations.
Review subcontractor claims and provide commercial contractual input.
Review BOQ MTO BOM and project quantity changes.
Prepare cost estimates commercial reports and final cost information.
Conduct site measurements and verify quantities of materials labour plant and equipment.
Coordinate with project teams subcontractors clients and consultants on commercial matters.
Maintain accurate QS records and support contract commercial discussions.
