Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Site Engineer - Mechanical in Muscat to oversee mechanical installations on gas turbine projects, coordinating with project managers to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.

You will lead a team of technicians, inspect installations, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure quality through QA checks with timely reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 10 years in mechanical engineering, focused on power projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects and lead teams on complex mechanical work.
• Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine and substations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to develop mechanical plans and schedules.
• Supervise on-site installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and QA to ensure safety and conformity to standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of technicians and support staff.
• Monitor budget, control costs, and report progress to management.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and regulatory requirements.
