Job summary

WSP in Oman is seeking a Senior Site Engineer - Mechanical to lead mechanical installation and coordination on Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine projects. You will work with project managers to develop plans, supervise on-site activities, ensure compliance with codes, and deliver milestones on time and within budget.

You will mentor technicians, implement quality and safety practices, manage budgets, and report progress to senior management across landmark power generation sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in power generation.
• Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and substations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to develop mechanical project plans and schedules.
• Supervise on-site installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality of installations.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and support staff.
• Establish and maintain robust quality control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Manage the mechanical project budget including cost estimation and control.
