Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Site Engineer - Electrical to ensure electrical installations on Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects meet industry standards and project specifications. You will inspect, test, audit, and collaborate with managers to develop plans and schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.

You will supervise electrical activities from inception to completion, review engineering drawings, and provide technical support during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power generation projects.
• Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and Sub station Projects.
• Professional engineering license preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to develop electrical project plans and schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Oversee Electrical activities and interfacing from inception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, codes and regulatory requirements to assure quality and safety.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents with design teams.
• Lead installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation on site, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Manage project budget, cost estimation, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
