Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Site Engineer - Electrical to ensure electrical installations on Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine projects meet industry standards, specs and regulatory requirements. You will conduct inspections, tests, and audits, and collaborate with project managers to plan schedules and monitor milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power generation projects.
• Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and Sub station Projects.
• Professional engineering license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to develop electrical project plans and schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Oversee Electrical activities and interfacing from inception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, codes and regulatory requirements for quality and safety.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and provide input to optimize systems.
• Provide technical support during construction activities and resolve issues.
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for client review and approval.
• Lead a team of electrical technicians and support staff and foster safety and professionalism.
• Conduct inspections and testing/commissioning of electrical systems, including loop checks and function tests.
