Job summary

WSP in Muscat is seeking a Senior Site Engineer – Electrical to lead on-site electrical installations for Open/Closed Cycle Gas Turbine projects, ensuring compliance with codes, safety rules and project specifications.

You will coordinate with project managers, inspect work, supervise technicians, and drive timely delivery within budget, while maintaining quality and reporting progress to senior management. A PE license is preferred and 10–15 years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power generation projects.
• Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and Substation Projects.
• Professional engineering license preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical activities on site ensuring safety and compliance.
• Review drawings, specs and QA procedures for correct implementation.
• Coordinate with contractors and design teams to meet timelines.
• Prepare progress reports and interface with project managers.
• Manage budget, cost estimation and procurement for electrical works.
• Lead a team of technicians and ensure training and mentorship.
• Ensure adherence to local codes and standards.
