Job summary

Muna Noor Engineering & Contracting LLC (MNEC) is seeking a skilled MEP Site Engineer for its Wastewater Treatment Division. The role involves supervising mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities on wastewater projects, ensuring alignment with drawings, specs, and HSE standards.

The ideal candidate will coordinate with civil, process, and subcontractor teams, manage daily site activities, and support testing, commissioning, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical experience supervising MEP on wastewater projects.
• Knowledge of pumps, piping, electrical distribution, and control systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs and specifications.
• Willingness to work at remote project locations outside Muscat.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities on wastewater treatment projects.
• Oversee the installation of pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, blowers, piping networks, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Supervise electrical installations, including control panels, MCCs, cabling, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Coordinate the installation and integration of wastewater treatment equipment and associated plant infrastructure.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, process engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress, workforce productivity, material utilization, and subcontractor performance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, installation conflicts, and site coordination challenges.
• Coordinate material requirements, equipment deliveries, inspections, and technical approvals.
• Ensure installations comply with approved designs, project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
• Support equipment testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final project handover.
• Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, and relevant technical documentation.

About the Role

Muna Noor Engineering & Contracting LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Site Engineer to join our Wastewater Treatment Division.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in supervising and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and associated systems for wastewater treatment plants, sewage treatment plants (STPs), pumping stations, and related infrastructure.

This position requires a technically competent and proactive professional capable of independently managing daily MEP site activities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring efficient project execution in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities on wastewater treatment projects.

• Familiarity with wastewater treatment equipment, instrumentation, and automation systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Understanding of equipment installation, testing, commissioning, quality control, and HSE procedures.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently supervise site activities and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Willingness to work at remote project locations outside Muscat is mandatory.
