Durucooperation in Oman seeks a Senior Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to oversee QA/QC on mechanical projects from design to handover, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and project specs.
You will lead QA/QC activities, review ITPs, QCPs, welding documents, and coordinate with site teams to close NCRs and deviations, while maintaining NCR registers and providing training.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to oversee and manage QA/QC activities across mechanical projects, ensuring compliance with applicable engineering standards, project specifications, codes, and quality management systems from design and construction through commissioning and handover.
Provide QA/QC expertise and technical support to project teams.
Develop, implement, and maintain QMS procedures in line with company and project requirements.
Review contractors' and vendors' QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, QCPs, material requisitions, and material specifications.
Review and approve welding-related documents, including WPS, PQR, WPQ, and NDT procedures.
Conduct internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 19011 requirements.
Review root cause analysis, corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of NCRs and deviations.
Maintain project NCR and deviation registers and monitor proper close-out.
Review CVs and qualifications of NDT technicians, site inspectors, and contractor engineers.
Coordinate with company quality personnel on quality-related issues and provide technical solutions.
Support and guide site teams on QA/QC requirements and conduct relevant quality training.
Review and manage TPI (Third-Party Inspection) reports and ensure project compliance.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.).
Minimum 7 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably in oil & gas/petrochemical projects.
Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical rotating equipment, piping, or pipeline projects.
ISO 9001:2015 and/or ISO 55001:2014 Lead Auditor certification.
AWS-CWI / CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification required as applicable.
BGAS Certification.
NDT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, BS, EN, MSS, ISO, and related industry standards.
Experience in welding inspection and QA/QC auditing.
