Job summary

Jai Hr Management Consultancy Services is seeking a Welding Engineer to plan, develop, supervise and improve welding processes ensuring quality and safety across fabrication and construction activities in oil & gas, petrochemical, and infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of welding procedures, codes, and metallurgy, with 5–10+ years of experience and relevant certifications preferred. Candidates should be able to coordinate with QC/NDT teams and document welding activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Welding, Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications such as AWS CWI, IWE, CSWIP 3.1/3.2 are preferred.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards ASME, AWS, API, ISO is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQR, and WQTR.
• Monitor welding activities for compliance with project specs and codes.
• Provide technical support to welders, inspectors and project teams.

Job Summary

A Welding Engineer is responsible for planning developing supervising and improving welding processes to ensure the quality safety and efficiency of fabrication and construction activities They ensure compliance with industry standards project specifications and quality requirements in manufacturing oil amp gas construction power and infrastructure projects

Key Responsibilities

Develop review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications WPS Procedure Qualification Records PQR and Welder Qualification Records WQTR WPQ Monitor and control welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications codes and standards ASME AWS API ISO EN etc Provide technical support and guidance to welders supervisors inspectors and project teams Evaluate welding techniques materials consumables and equipment for suitability and efficiency Investigate welding defects failures and non-conformities and implement corrective actions Coordinate with Quality Control QC Non-Destructive Testing NDT and production teams Review engineering drawings material specifications and fabrication requirements Ensure proper implementation of welding procedures and heat treatment requirements Conduct welding procedure qualification tests and welder performance qualification tests Monitor productivity welding parameters consumable usage and project schedules Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements Prepare technical reports welding documentation and inspection records

Required Qualifications
