Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to implement surveillance activities across pipeline, piping, tanks and refinery construction projects in Oman. The role requires adherence to ITPs, procedures, and controlled documents, with emphasis on material provenance and non-conformance handling.

Responsibilities include witnessing tests, raising RFIs, maintaining calibration records, and ensuring close-out of NCRs with corrective actions.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or graduate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CSWIP 3.1 / AWS or equivalent and certified to ASNT / EN 473 / PCN Level II in RT, PT, MT and UT techniques.
• Minimum 6 years experience in inspection in Pipeline, piping, tanks, pressure equipment, valves, piping, rotating equipment, and refinery construction works.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and quality audit practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all activities with respect to quality performance and compliance.
• Raise RFI to client for day-to-day construction activities.
• Witness pigging, hydro test, and pneumatic test activities.
• Conduct line walks and prepare punch lists and closeouts.
• Perform PQR/WQT as per PWPS WPSo and ensure material traceability from approved suppliers.
• Close out NCRs with corrective actions and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain records of calibration, inspection and testing equipment.
• Witness qualification procedures and certify results; issue Inspection Release Notes.
• Sign Test Packs and QC dossiers; provide feedback to Site Quality Engineer as needed.

Implement QA QC activities including those of sub suppliers works in accordance with approved ITPs and procedures method statements and other control Documents Prepare and sign off applicable records for quality surveillance inspections tests Carry out surveillance inspections to verify processes and procedures compliance The surveillance role shall be as follows but not limited to

• To monitor all activities with respect to quality performance
• Raising RFI to client for day-to-day construction activities
• Witness Pigging hydro test Pneumatic test activities
• Line walks and punch list preparation closeouts
• PQR WQT conduct as per PWPS WPSo
• To ensure that the materials are from the approved Suppliers
• To ensure close out of NCR s with suitable correction and corrective actions
• Maintain records of calibration inspection and testing equipment
• Ensure availability of appropriate version of applicable documents
• Witness qualification procedures tests and certify the results
• Issue Inspection Release Note of Product
• Sign test pack QC dossier as applicable
• Provide feedback to Site Quality Engineer or next immediate authority in quality organization chart where SQE is not identified on the day to day quality issues
