Job summary

Wood is recruiting for a Lead QAQC Engineer to be seconded to the client office in Musandam, Oman. The role is long-term and based on-site, requiring a university degree in mechanical/chemical engineering and 15+ years in QA/QC within the oil and petrochemical industries.

Candidates should have EPC project experience, API 650, offshore/subsea exposure, and familiarity with industry codes and standards. Multidisciplinary QC knowledge is preferred for this challenging assignment.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Mechanical / Chemical or equivalent Engineering Discipline.
• Certified Lead Auditor to any of the Management Systems ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001.
• Discipline specific certifications required (e.g. Welding, NDT, Coating etc.).
• Minimum Experience: 15+ years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in Oil and Petrochemical Industry.
• Experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction Phases of Engineering Projects in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Inspection and testing experience at manufacturing units and Construction sites.
• Multidiscipline Quality Control experience is preferred.
• Experience in SBM, PLEM, Subsea pipeline, Fiber Optic Cable for Offshore position.
• Good Knowledge in the application of industry codes and standards.
