Job summary

NEW Alfa International in Oman seeks an experienced QC Inspector Civil with 5–10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects to ensure civil and construction activities meet project specifications and quality requirements.

The role requires inspecting earthworks, foundations, concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork and related works, coordinating with site teams, raising inspection requests and maintaining quality records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 5–10 years of QC Civil inspection experience in Oil & Gas / EPC.
• Ability to read civil drawings, specifications, ITPs and method statements.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO standards and project specs.
• Strong QA/QC documentation and inspection procedure knowledge.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• GCC experience preferred; Aramco/ADNOC/PDO projects advantageous.
• Preferred QC certifications (CSWIP/NACE/AMPP/BGAS/ASNT-NDT).

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil and construction activities per ITPs, drawings, specs and method statements.
• Inspect earthworks, foundations, concrete, reinforcement, formwork, grading and related works.
• Monitor concrete works: pouring, slump tests, cube tests, curing.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subs, client reps and third-party inspectors.
• Raise IRs, maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
• Identify non-conformities and assist with NCRs and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Review quality records, checklists, test reports and inspection documentation.
• Participate in client and third-party inspections.
• Ensure civil activities follow approved procedures and project quality requirements.

Industry: Oil & Gas, Location: Oman, Position: QC Inspector Civil, Experience: 5 10 Years

We are looking for an experienced QC Inspector Civil with strong experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects to ensure that all civil and construction activities comply with approved project specifications, standards and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil and construction activities as per approved ITPs, drawings, specifications and method statements
• Inspect earthworks, excavation, backfilling, grading, compaction, foundations, concrete, rebar, formwork, grouting and structural works
• Monitor concrete works including concrete pouring, slump tests, cube tests, curing and related inspections
• Inspect reinforcement steel, embedded items, anchor bolts, formwork and foundations prior to concrete placement
• Verify incoming construction materials and review relevant Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and test reports
• Coordinate with site engineers, construction teams, subcontractors, client representatives and third-party inspectors
• Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and maintain inspection records and quality documentation
• Identify non-conformities and assist in raising and closing NCRs and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, project specifications and Oil & Gas client requirements
• Review and maintain quality records, checklists, test reports and inspection documentation
• Participate in client and third-party inspections
• Ensure all civil activities are executed in accordance with approved procedures and project quality requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant technical qualification
• 5-10 years of relevant QC Civil Inspection experience in the Oil & Gas / EPC industry
• Strong knowledge of civil construction and inspection activities
• Hands-on experience with concrete, rebar, foundations, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, compaction, grouting, and structural works
• Good knowledge of relevant ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO, and project-specific standards
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC documentation and inspection procedures
• Good communication and reporting skills
• GCC experience is preferred
• Aramco / ADNOC / PDO-approved project experience will be an added advantage
• Preferred Certifications CSWIP / NACE-AMPP / BGAS / ASNT-NDT / other relevant QC certifications will be an advantage, depending on project requirements
