Job summary

ZEOOF Projects is seeking an experienced Estimation & Quantity Survey Engineer to join our Commercial team in Oman. You will lead tendering, take-offs, and cost estimation for building and infrastructure projects, coordinating with engineering and procurement.

You will develop BOQs, perform rate analyses, and build a robust cost database while contributing to value engineering and successful bid submissions through detailed commercial qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 5–10 years of experience in construction estimation.
• Strong experience in building and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent understanding of construction methods and pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure drawings.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Review consultant-issued BOQs and identify discrepancies or missing scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Perform rate analysis for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls during tender preparation.
• Prepare tender clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, and commercial qualifications.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive cost database for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
• Participate in bid submissions and commercial negotiations.
• Upon project award, hand over the estimate and cost assumptions to the delivery team.
