Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced Cost Controls Leader to join our project controls team in Oman. You will drive cost forecasting, budgeting, and reporting across the project lifecycle, ensuring rigorous budget control and adherence to CBS/WBS methodologies.

The role requires strong leadership in a Brownfield EPCM environment, with proven experience in EVM, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial sectors.
• 4+ years in a lead or supervisory role managing Cost Engineers or Project Controls personnel.
• 5+ years in Brownfield project delivery environments.
• Proven experience in cost control, cost estimating, project scheduling, forecasting, and risk management.
• Experience in earned value management (EVM), cost forecasting, and contingency management.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience managing EPCM projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate cost forecasts to Project Management and stakeholders based on project scope, approved budgets, commitments, and actual expenditures.
• Support decision-making by providing cost analysis, forecasting, and recommendations when corrective cost control actions are required.
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly cost management reports in accordance with established procedures and project requirements.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, and expenditures to ensure effective budget control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain robust cost control systems, processes, and reporting mechanisms.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within Project Controls to enhance cost management effectiveness and efficiency.
• Promote the OneWay framework and Zero Harm behaviour.
