Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute sales plans designed to achieve revenue, margin, and business development objectives.
- Identify prospective opportunities with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, drilling companies, and service providers.
- Develop relationships with procurement managers, engineering teams, project personnel, and commercial decision-makers.
- Manage strategic accounts and uncover additional requirements across existing customer relationships.
- Review tender opportunities and coordinate technical and commercial information required for submission.
- Prepare competitive quotations covering product specifications, pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Lead contract negotiations and work toward commercially sustainable agreements.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers regarding pricing, technical compliance, documentation, and availability.
- Work closely with internal operations and logistics teams to support timely order fulfilment.
- Monitor market developments, project activity, competitor movements, and changes in customer purchasing requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, tender registers, and customer activity reports.
- Follow up consistently on quotations and commercial proposals to improve conversion opportunities.
- Guide junior sales team members on account development, customer engagement, and opportunity management.
- Support resolution of delivery, documentation, specification, or commercial issues affecting customer satisfaction.
- Conduct sales activities in accordance with company requirements and applicable HSE standards.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in oilfield equipment sales, oilfield trading, or technical business development.
- Direct knowledge of the Oman oil and gas market and its commercial environment.
- Established network with operators, EPC contractors, service companies, and relevant industry customers.
- Strong technical understanding of oilfield equipment and associated supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to generate new accounts and achieve assigned sales targets.
- Experienced in tenders, quotations, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
- Able to evaluate pricing, customer expectations, delivery requirements, and commercial risk.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- Arabic communication skills are advantageous.
- Valid Oman driving license is mandatory.
- Comfortable travelling for customer meetings and managing accounts independently.
