Position Overview
Sales Manager - Oilfield Business Development in Masqaţ, Oman is a senior Oil and Energy opportunity focused on expanding commercial activity across the country 's oilfield trading market. The role is hiring an experienced sales leader with strong industry relationships, technical knowledge of oilfield equipment, and the commercial capability to secure business from operators, EPC contractors, service companies, and other energy-sector customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop practical sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market growth objectives.
- Identify new opportunities with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, drilling companies, maintenance providers, and service organizations.
- Build trusted relationships with procurement managers, engineers, project teams, and commercial decision-makers.
- Manage existing key accounts while identifying opportunities for additional products, projects, and long-term supply requirements.
- Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, quotations, technical offers, and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions, contractual requirements, and supply agreements.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, technical documentation, and delivery commitments.
- Work with internal operations and logistics teams to ensure confirmed orders are processed and delivered on schedule.
- Monitor customer demand, upcoming projects, competitor activity, pricing trends, and changes within the Oman oilfield market.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotations, tenders, customer interactions, and expected sales.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and management updates.
- Support junior sales personnel with customer planning, quotation follow-up, negotiation preparation, and market development.
- Address customer concerns related to technical specifications, documentation, delivery, or commercial terms through timely coordination.
- Ensure all sales and customer-facing activities comply with company procedures and relevant HSE standards.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate business qualification is preferred.
- Solid experience in oilfield equipment sales, oilfield trading, technical sales, or business development.
- Direct commercial experience within the Oman oil and gas market.
- Established professional network among operators, EPC contractors, oilfield service companies, and relevant industry stakeholders.
- Good technical knowledge of oilfield equipment and associated supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and consistently achieve sales targets.
- Experienced in managing tenders, quotations, key accounts, and contract negotiations.
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to evaluate pricing, customer requirements, and profitability.
- Effective communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- Arabic language capability is an advantage.
- Valid Oman driving license is mandatory.
- Able to manage customer relationships independently while coordinating effectively across internal and external teams.
