Job summary

Oman Investment Authority seeks a seasoned PMO leader to set strategic direction, establish standards, and govern project delivery to align with corporate objectives.

You will mentor project managers, oversee governance across departments, and drive reporting, budgets, and risk management to improve performance and compliance.

The role emphasizes building internal capabilities, developing templates, dashboards, and transparent metrics, while coordinating workshops and senior management reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree or PMP/MBA preferred.
• Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of Asset Management, QHSE IMS ISO standards, and IT security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PMO methodologies, templates, and tools.
• Lead PMO governance practices across department projects.
• Oversee Projects Management activities, including prioritization, resource planning, and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage PMO systems including project tracking tools, performance dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Establish PMO performance indicators and ensure regular monitoring, assessment, and reporting of project progress.
• Coach and develop project staff to build internal project management capabilities.
• Conduct project audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance with approved standards and procedures.
• Oversee risk management across the project portfolio, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Support departmental project planning including budget development, cost estimations, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Lead the organization of internal PM-related events such as workshops, seminars, presentations, and awareness sessions.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for senior managements.

Other requirements

• Knowledge and Understanding of the Asset Management, QHSE Management System and IT Security Standard Requirements according to Integrated Management System (IMS), ISO 55001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.
• Minimum Qualifications
• BSc. in Electrical Power Engineering or related field.
• Master s in engineering, Project Management, PMP or MBA is preferable
• Professional Experience:
• A minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience
• A minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role.
