Job summary

Tawteen in Oman seeks a seasoned PMO leader to provide strategic direction and governance for project management across the department. You will establish standards, methodologies and reporting structures, and mentor project managers to improve delivery efficiency and compliance with corporate standards.

You will drive prioritization, resource planning and risk management while overseeing PMO systems, dashboards and performance indicators to keep senior management informed.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Power Engineering or related field.
• Master or MBA/Engineering master’s preferred.
• PMP certification or MBA considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project management methodologies, frameworks, templates and tools.
• Lead the implementation of PMO governance practices across all department projects.
• Oversee Projects Management activities including prioritization, resource planning and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage PMO systems including project tracking tools, performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
• Establish PMO performance indicators and ensure regular monitoring and reporting of progress.
• Coach and develop project staff to build internal project management capabilities.
• Conduct project audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
• Oversee risk management across the project portfolio with timely identification and mitigation.
• Support departmental project planning including budget development, cost estimations and cash-flow forecasting.
• Organize internal PM-related events such as workshops, seminars and awareness sessions.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior management.

Other requirements

Knowledge and Understanding of the Asset Management QHSE Management System and IT Security Standard Requirements according to Integrated Management System IMS ISO 55001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: BSc. in Electrical Power Engineering or related field. Master s in engineering, Project Management, PMP or MBA is preferable
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience Minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role.
