Job summary

ProgressSoft is hiring a Support & Implementation Engineer in Muscat to provide high-level on-site and remote IT technical liaison services. The role covers full incident lifecycle management, troubleshooting across databases, applications, networks and integration interfaces, and collaboration with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering/Science, Computer Application, or related field.
• Fresh graduates / up to 3 years experience in a familiar field.
• Willing to travel abroad and work extra hours when needed.
• Knowledge in database engines (Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL).
• Knowledge in operating systems (Linux, Windows).
• Knowledge in application servers (Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere).
• Knowledge in Directory Services (AD & LDAP).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Cloud, virtualization, SAN/storage, and network infra is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and install solutions in test and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across database, application, network, and integration interfaces.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and tickets.
• Prepare, review and ensure accuracy of technical documentation.
• Perform preventive/corrective maintenance at customer sites (on-site or remote).
• Carry out other duties as needed.
