Job summary

SGS is seeking a Mechanical Piping Inspector to conduct Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO specifications. You will audit materials, monitor contractor quality systems, and write detailed reports during on-site inspections at facilities or construction sites.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree or diploma with extensive inspection experience, plus AWS CWI or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification and API 570 knowledge.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering with at least four years of relevant inspection experience or a Diploma with eight years of inspection experience.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable international standards, including API 570.

Responsibilities

• Perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections and tests at facilities or sites.
• Inspect materials and equipment for proper handling, storage and protection on site.
• Monitor quality systems, records and personnel for compliance.
• Review contractor quality submittals and witness performance tests.
• Write inspection reports and issue NCRs/EDRs as needed.
• Adhere to safety, confidentiality and ethical standards during inspections.
