Job summary

SGS is seeking Sr. Mechanical Inspectors to perform on-site inspections of pressure vessels, tanks, and piping in Saudi Arabia. You will conduct CSWIP 3.2 welding inspections, support API 510/653 certification, and review fabrication against engineering drawings.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in engineering or an 18-year diploma with substantial experience and relevant certifications. This role requires working on-site in a challenging oil & gas environment.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, and mechanical components.
• Welding inspections per CSWIP 3.2 including visual, dimensional checks, and defect identification.
• In-service inspection, assessment, and API 510/653 certification support.
• Review fabrication, erection, and maintenance procedures against engineering drawings and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, and mechanical components to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Perform welding inspections in accordance with CSWIP 3.2 standards, including visual inspections, dimensional checks, and defect identification.
• Conduct in-service inspection, assessment, and certification of pressure vessels (API 510) and storage tanks (API 653).
• Review fabrication, erection, and maintenance procedures for compliance with engineering drawings and standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to resolve inspection issues timely.
